Natasha sits back in her seat, folding her hands in her lap. “I know that AIM employs the best scientists in their respective fields, that you have independent think tanks funded by military contracts, and… well, that there is no business currently in operation more suited to my skillset.“

She considers the situation, wondering just how far she can push.

"In fact, I have some experience in your particular area of interest - I worked at Stark Industries for a time.”

His muscles tensed at the words ‘Stark Industries’, and he regarded her with a new interest, bordering on suspicion. Now that he was sure she couldn’t have read on the internet. Did she know about his history with Tony? But how could she? He’d have to watch this one carefully.

“Did you?” he said coolly, his voice and expression giving nothing away. “Good. So you understand the workings of a lab and how to maneuver your way through a big company. I’ll admit, AIM is nowhere near as large as Stark Industries, but it’s the same basic premise. What makes you so interesting in working here?“

It’s a delicate line, but one which she’s well accustomed to treading. She’d read the file carefully, and Stark seems to be a pressure point with this man. At the very least, she knows it will foster his interest.

"Exactly,” she agrees, flashing him a smile. “I would prefer a smaller company. While I had no trouble at SI, it would be nice to be more closely acquainted with what I’m assisting on.” She sits back, not wanting to seem too eager. This is still a job interview, after all. “AIM are at the forefront of their field. I developed quite a few contacts in my time working elsewhere, and word is that AIM’s current project is revolutionary. Not to mention, your TIME piece intrigued me enough to want to meet the man himself - even if you choose to hire from elsewhere.”
