Tastes Too Good To Be Bad [Dark!AU, @ladyloki-countessofmischief]
*Natasha’s never believed in coincidence, and she’s not about to start now. Allowing the man to fall to the floor, she disregards him entirely, making her way over to the phone.*
Mr MrQuade’s office, the Black Widow speaking. How may I direct your call?
*She sounds perfectly calm and in control, despite the adrenaline thudding through her veins. The kill. Oh, how beautiful a rush. She would thank Loki for freeing her from SHIELD’s bonds, but she’s always been capable of freeing herself from whatever she has to. She may be Loki’s vessel, but she’s been a tool her whole life. Better this kind of work than that which she’d given up in return for her debt.*
What a fascinating show of strength and ability Miss Widow. Ehehe. I believe my message was made quite clear. So how does it feel? To be able to kill to your heart’s content? You obviously enjoyed it.
I had not expected you to switch to killing without the use of those weapons of yours, I must say that I am quite impressed. It is a tad disappointing that you waited so long to kneel to me and join me.
*It’s a little humorous to Loki that she could tell that Natasha had grown bored with those SHIELD agents and the paper work, and silly side missions. Not to mention the restrictions of her abilities that she was quite sure SHIELD held over the assassin. Much like the red ledger. They were things that the SHIELD organization would surely have waved in front of Natasha to try to keep her inline.*
*Loki however found those things the most entertaining. The woman had a history of death and violence behind her and it was that very thing that Loki could use to her advantage.*
Fascinating? You flatter me, my lady. *Natasha’s smirking as she speaks, seating herself lazily in the dead man’s chair. Oh, how has she gone so long without this?* It was a job. Nothing I haven’t done a thousand times.
Well, before now, kneeling would’ve been insincere. A ploy, by SHIELD, to try and take you down. They really don’t understand, *By understanding, she’s talking about the false distinction SHIELD make between good and evil. No cause is more powerful than self-preservation, and the organisation are simply seeing enemies in the shadows when they should be looking inside themselves.*
He was simple. A coward, in the end. I look forward to the day my name commands that kind of fear once more. What next? I have a taste for something like this again… I never tire of watching the light fade.
