You are a human being.  You developed the way you are to be an individual.  Whether it was by an all-powerful omnipotent being, aliens, evolution, insert your belief system here, you are something special.  You may be one in several billion, but you know what? You are one in several billion.  There is no one else like you.  

No one with your dna sequence, with your personality, with the way you talk, they way you move, the way you goof off, the way you laugh, and especially the beauty in your unique appearance.  YOU ARE SPECIAL.  Don’t let any asshole tell you otherwise.  

And don’t give them the attention they’re vying for.  They’re aching, begging for your attention.  Why do you think hate anons hit so often on one person?  They check back, they want to see you react, they want to see if it’s working.  Don’t let them destroy you.  

You are beautiful and special, you are one in several billion, and hang in there.  There will always be people out here to talk to, to reach out to.  We may not be able to be there 24/7, but we will be there when you really need us.

And I can hear some of you saying ‘this message isn’t for me.’ But I promise you it is.  Is your genetic make up biologically human?  Yes?  This is for you.  No matter what you feel you’ve done, no matter what you feel you’ve said is wrong, no matter what that little voice in the back of your head tell you?  This is for you.  You, who are reading this right now.  

You who, even if you whisper ‘no’ to this, I’m hoping on some level this takes a place in your thoughts.  That any idea of this in the positive light, that you are an individual, that you are you takes hold and when you really need it, and the light starts to filter through the darkness of the hole you found yourself in, you hear those words again.  I, myself, was in that hole, and I promise there is a way out of it.  I promise, despite the fact that the phrase has almost become overused and has been used to cover everything from suicide and homosexuality, it does get better.  You can fight this.

Those who go through depression, who hear worse things from their own mind than anyone can ever utter to them, or even than hate anons can whisper from behind their gray faces of cowardice, are the strongest and most amazing people you will ever find.  Even if they don’t realize it. The fact that you made it through another day of suffering from torture at your own inner hands says so much, so very much, about that inner strength you have.  When you get to the other side of this darkness and look back, you’ll be surprised at the strength you had, and still have, waiting in you to rise up and get you through to the next day.

I won’t lie.  It takes work.  It takes striving forward and wading through the words and defeating your own mind.  It takes fighting for another day.  But finding allies makes it easier.  Finding a step forward, someone to hold their hands out for you to move up a little more is one more step, and it doesn’t have to be romantic, it can be a school counselor, or parents, or a friend.  But it is worth it, every step of the way.

So please, never forget any of this.  You’re special.  You’re strong.  You’re one of a kind.  And you deserve to keep on going and step into a life that you never knew you could have.
