“This only works if you’re honest with me,” Natasha tells Vesper, although her secretive smile never falters. To anyone in the room, it looks as though she’s whispering into her lover’s ear - and that’s how Natasha blends herself to any room. It doesn’t matter that this woman was enough to topple the best English spy from his self assured perch - Natasha is certain that she’s better than him… although she has fallen before. “You tell me, or I will take them out.” She guides the other woman’s hand down to her thigh, allowing her to feel the gun in the pretence of an arm around her waist. The threat is overt, but she has to know before this goes any further.
“Well, forgive me if I was not on a sharing spirit”, she replied softly, turning her face towards Romanoff and letting a grin form on her lips. “It’s not often that an agent comes to me and tells me there are men following me”, she added, feling the familiar shape of a gun beneath her hand. Vesper then turned her head towards Romanoff and leaned in slightly. “They might be from the organization that used to blackmail me”, she whispered, eyes on the her lips before leaning back and facing forward.
Natasha looks back, gaze never faltering at the words. “They know who you are,” she murmurs, allowing her gaze to linger purposefully on Vesper’s mouth - although out of the corner of the eye, she can see the men regard them with a whole new, although much less dangerous, interest. “You’d better get used to people following you, Vesper. We can only hold them off for so long while you’re exposed like this.” She guides Vesper’s hand up, past where her gun is - she doesn’t want these men to know she’s armed unless it’s necessary. “The bracelets on my wrists,” she tells the other woman, closer than she’s been to a target, especially one so obviously intelligent and beautiful, “Electrocute. If they approach, I need you to step away, as quickly as possible.”
