[She laughs at his words, ducking her head slightly before looking back up at him.] If only. Overworked and underpaid, isn’t that how the saying goes? I don’t have much time to be interesting.
Family business. I was lucky enough t’ come int’ it - and be good at it. Expanded it far pas’ what anyone else could have imagined. [There was a smile on his lips as he said that. He was good at what he did, even if it was a nasty business. Not that he was going to mention that last part, of course.] If thin’s are that bad, perhaps y’ coul’ fin’ a way out? Look ‘roun’ an’ find a new job, maybe?
Lucky for the business, I’d imagine. You sound like a man of many talents - and that’s not even bringing your looks into it. [She blushes faintly, looking into her drink.] And I can’t quite believe I just said that. Please, ignore me. This is why finding a new job is so difficult - I tend to say what I think, rather than what I should. It’s not so bad, my job. Interesting technology, although fending off the boss’ advances gets a little tiresome sometimes.
