Natasha scans over the information, taking it in with a small smirk. Bogdanov had been small time back when she’d been involved. Seems Dmitri finally recognised the… entrepreneurial spirit of the once small time con man. “Bolshoi?” she asks, looking up sharply. “This was a man whose experience with dance stretches to the dancers at his local club, and you are expected to believe he shall be viewing the best in ballet? There must be a reason for his attendance.” She is looking to Ellis for an explanation, her own mind having come up blank on the information she has seen. “Who are you sending?”
It struck Ellis as odd too, he couldn’t deny that. But the wealthy went to these things. If there was a plan… Well, he knew that, should he ever want to blow up Bolshoi, he’d want a good view of what he was working with first. And a ticket was the best way of guaranteeing you saw all you needed to. Get caught by a security guard? Oops, must’ve gotten lost trying to find the toilets, sorry! The thought was worrying.
Pausing, Ellis smiled. “Contrary to popular belief, Agent Romanov, I don’t run this division.” He paused. “Hang on. I’ll check the databases, see who’s flying out in the next few days.” He brought up the list of Counter Terrorism employees, and quickly scanned through the schedules. “Looks like… Agent Lee and Agent Summers, from the look of things…”
Natasha glances at him blankly at the slight levity, before nodding. She can feel the familiar craving for action, to immerse herself in the mission, but she suppresses it. This is not her battle, and while she is not lacking in courage, facing Dmitri is not something she would race towards.
“I can have a report ready for tomorrow morning. As I have no desire to sit filling out forms until sunrise, I am disclosing to you now that I have a prior working relationship with both Bykov and Bogdanov. The information I can provide may save your colleagues’ lives. Bogdanov is foolish, but excels in his chosen field.”
