Now Where’s Your Champion? [@athermajestysservice]
Natasha turns, content to find the mark’s eyes on her. He doesn’t like the contact, and she shakes her head impatiently at James, even as she murmurs her true response. “Yes. He’s getting rather impatient.”
She makes a show of batting his hand away from her hip, glaring up at him as a frustrated wife. It’s all done under a veneer of social acceptability, but subtlety appears to be rather useful with this mark, given his smile at her dismissal of her apparent husband. ”I’m going upstairs,” she tells James sharply, with a tight smile to the people around him. “I have a migrane. Do stay and enjoy yourself.”
With that, she stalks off, the mark joining her at the elevator. He stands a little too close, pressing his mouth to her bare shoulder when he believes no one is looking. Indiscrete. She despairs of these foolish men sometimes.
“Wonderful.” He murmured, and as she bats his hand away, he’s sure to let his eyes narrow and his jaw clench, looking as though he’s frustrated with her attitude but attempting to keep up appearances for everyone in the room.
“Fine.” He straightened, waving her off as he turned back to the men he was conversing with. One of the mentioned about how women were more trouble than they were worth, and James laughed along with the rest of the group as he glanced sideways at her retreating form. She’d let him know when he could meet her up there, so he would have to wait for her signal.
Natasha slips her hand behind her back, pressing three fingers up. Three minutes, then follow.
The target has gained confidence from the lack of reaction from the room, hand roaming down her back possessively. As they step into the elevator, she leans over to press the button, she finds James in the room, ensuring that he’s watching as the overhead light registers the penthouse destination.
