Natasha nods, mind racing over the information. She beckons the waiter over with their food, although her appetite has somewhat disappeared. She’d rather be working, lose herself in the familiarity of it, and she takes a long drink from the bottle before toying with her food absently. “How are you getting on with your assignments?” she asks, avoiding his eyes once more. She should never have agreed to this, not when she’s feeling like she is now.

Clint sighed shortly, leaning back a bit, the bottle empty as he set it back on the table the next time. He looked away, playing with a little piece of bread in his fingers, as Natasha spoke again. He looked up, only to see that she was avoiding looking at him as well, swallowing over that fact.
“Uh.. Pretty good. Since I have nothing else to do, I’m done quite fast with them.”, he said then, shrugging.
“How about you? You’ve been in there for far too long yourself. Something going wrong?”

Natasha runs her hand through her hair absently, before gesturing to the waiter to bring them refills. She needs one if she’s going to discuss this job. “Something? Try everything. The target’s brought in new security - including a few of my old associates. There goes undercover. I can’t trust any of the junior agents with a mission like this, so I have to find a way of getting as far in as possible before they realise who I am.”
