After a quick scan of the room, Natasha takes a seat across from Loki, leaning forward just a little. She’s dressed in customary Midgardian clothing, rather than her uniform - SHIELD had decided that she would pose less of a threat this way. It doesn’t prevent her having a holster strapped to her thigh, and across her torso.
“It would appear so,” she agrees, regarding him casually. “We have a problem. A known associate of yours… Amora? She’s causing a great deal of inconvenience, and we wish to stop her.”
Natasha’s words are a gross understatement - and she herself hasn’t escaped the effect. She may have her guns strapped to her, but the enchantress has removed all memory of how to utilise them. She knows she should resent SHIELD for sending her in unarmed - but she’s equally aware that her hand to hand combat skills are invaluable now.
There was nothing unordinary about the flat. It was a high scale flat but this was Loki after all and there was nothing unflattery about him. It was all class or nothing. Nothing too pricey, just things that made the space look nice and comfortable.
“The Enchantress?”
Loki’s expression twisted into one of mild distaste when the name was mentioned. He was not at all fond of Amora the Enchantress. Always pathetically pining after Thor like a small child who can’t seem to have her way with anything. It was irritating. True, the trickster had aligned himself with the blonde witch in the past to get back at Thor but nowadays he had completely disassociated himself with her.
“Amora is someone I, myself in particular, no longer associate with. She is nothing far from a petty excuse for a magic user in comparison to myself but that does not mean she cannot do damage.” He calmly leaned forward, just slightly, and folded his hands together, looking the agent in front of him over.
“She did something to you or you would not be here asking for my assistance.”
Natasha’s expression doesn’t change as she looks back at Loki, despite the nerve he’s hit. She’s aware he knows nothing concrete, and she’s unwilling to provide him with the information.
“Perhaps,” she responds after a moment, smile inscrutable. “Perhaps SHIELD simply think that I’m the best agent for the job.”
Absorbing the information, she nods. His words correspond with the information SHIELD hold on Amora, and this is exactly as she expected Loki to respond. “Then if she’s nothing more than a mild annoyance to you, how would you feel about providing information which could lead to her downfall? We wouldn’t want you to soil your spotless reputation by becoming involved."
